V2Media technical specification

Files need to be named according to the following pattern:

  V2_websitename_adname.extension

eg:

  V2_akcie_v2media.wmv

All ads should be sent by e-mail to podklady@goldbach.cz. Adding the order ID will help avoid any mistakes and with segregation.

Landing page URL (on which the user will be directed to after clicking the ad) should be provided along with the creative.

A Billboard is a non-layer ad form, displayed usually in the upper-center section of the website. Clicking the billboard results in directing users to the earlier specified landing page.

Default measurement: 750×100 px Maximum size: 50KB.

In order to measure click count, the ad is required to have a clickTag (see: Technical Issues).

Vstitial is a fullscreen, non-stream way of displaying tv spots on the internet. It consists of a multimedia file and a multimedia player made by V2Media using flash technology. Vstitial is run automatically from leaderboard ad.

Maximum spot time: 30 seconds (60 seconds with additional fee)
Resolution: 640 pixels wide (height proper to the proportions of the spot, eg for a 16×9: 640x360px)
Emitted File Format: flv Maximum file size: 3MB

V2Media converts any video format to our technology which is included in the price of the campaign. The file is compressed by us to flv format with highest possible quality, so that does not exceed 3 MB. The best would it be if the spots were converted to a resolution of 640px wide (height appropriate to the proportions of the spot), de-interlaced. Video sent to us (before conversion) might have a different resolution, but not less than 640 pixels in width. Along with the video, you can send us your logo to be displayed under the movie in the lower right corner. Such file in .jpg or .gif format should have its resolution within 350x75px.

Vstitial Expand is a layer ad form in which the user initiates the video by himself. In the early phase the only visible part is a small sized miniature of the original video and an incentive for interaction.

To the Vstitial Expand, the client should provide us with a video file similar as the one described in the Vstitial ad. Additionally a low resolution teaser video will be created and displayed in the ad's early phase.

A logo file can be sent along with the video. The logo will be displayed below the movie. Such file in .jpg or .gif format should have its resolution within 350x75px and maximum size 10kb.

Vstitial Double Leaderboard is a non-layer ad form, through which the user may initiate emission of the fullscreen video ad. Video materials used for this ad consists of the ones, same as in the vstitial as well as the static graphic part of the ad.

Measurements 4×3: 255×190 (video) and 490×190 (static part)
Measurements 16:9: 330×190 (video) and 410×190 (static part)
Video format: arbitrary (will be converted to .FLV format)
Static part should not exceed 50kb in size nad should be of the following format: png, gif, jpg or swf (without animation nor actionscript, one-framed)

The static part will fill out the free space on the right side of the video. Any Materials that do not meet the required sizes will be rescaled so to fill the whole free space. Transparent graphics will have its background set to black.

V2 Scroll is a non-layer ad form, through which the user may initiate emission of the fullscreen video ad. Creation consists of a video, located on the left side, and on the right side ther’s space for the graphic material that can be created in flash format.

Video area dimensions: 124×70
Flash format area dimensions: 800×70
Flash made part must be as simple as possible - which means that all animations are permitted on the text, images, vector elements, but ONLY on the main Timeline. You can not use classes of transformation, the movements - neither those built-in Flash nor external engine like TweenLite, TweenMax, Caurina.

For V2Scroll customer should provide us a video of the same characteristics as in Vstitial. V2Scroll version of the video spot may be different than full screen video spot.

V2Scroll emits without the sound, however after interaction with video part, full-screen mode it’s being displayed with sound. In addition, the customer can choose the place of V2Scroll emission in the browser if it's from the top of the web site or on the bottom.

Expand Videostitial is a non-stream way of emitting tv spots on the internet. It consists of a multimedia file and player made by V2Media using flash technology. User can initiate emission of full-screen Vstitial after moving cursor on video area. In the early phase visible part is a small sized miniature of the original video and an incentive for interaction. Player is positioned in relation to right bottom corner of the browser window, and could be slightly move.

Materials for campaign:
-Video (as described in Vstitial ad)
- Expand Skin*
- Leaderboard or Doubleleaderboard (depends on mediaplan option)
* it is possible to emit campaign without this element.

V2Rectangle is a non-layer ad form, of dimensions 300x250px, that allows to emit video spots on the Internet. V2Rectangle consists of a multimedia file and player made by V2Media using flash technology, through which the user may initiate emission of the Vstitial or Videostitial ad form* Creation consists of a video, located on the upper side of the form, and static graphic space on the bottom side of the form.

The form is surrounded by uneditable frame (width 2px) with central-progressive partial transparency.

Elements’ dimensions depends on video proportions, 2 options possible:
Video proportions 16:9 or similar:
300×169px (video) and 300×81px (static part)
Video proportions 4:3 or similar:
300×225 (video) and 300×25 (static part)

Static part format:
should not exceed 50kb
file format: png, gif, jpg or swf
In case of static part in swf format it must be as simple as possible - which means that all animations on the text, images, vector elements are permitted. The Vstitial's window may change skins using a transparent png file(or a one-framed swf file, actionscript free). Such file will overlay the movie(must have a movie-sized transparent area so that the movie can be seen). On it, video controls will be displayed(progress bar, close button etc.) as well as the half-transparent logo. Maximum presets for such skins are 1280x800px in resolution and 150KB in size.

Vstitial is run automatically from leaderboard ad.

Measurements of the see-through area are not strict but it is best if they are close to the movie resolution. Movie is always centered on the browser. For instance for a 16:9 video it would be 640x360px moved 50px away from the top edge of the page(area for V2Media logo and Closing Button). The Vstitial's maximum height is 800px.

It’s possible to place Skin over the Vstitial Expand window. Skin is a form of graphic overlay above the video player. It should be prepared with transparency appropriately designed for video spot, and may have irregular shapes. It may also partially cover the video area. The close button and the speaker icon are 48px above the video window (highlighted on the diagram in green color).

Optionally, you can add a progress bar. The video window height depends on the video proportions: 247px is appropriate for 4:3 proportions and for 16:9 appropriate is 185px.

Max image size: 750 × 400px File Format: png / gif / swf, without any active buttons Max weight: 50kB Video size: - Width 330px - High: appropriate to video format, eg for 16:9 - 185px. This skin may have transparent areas, except area above video.

Hovering on Vstitial Expand Skin window Vstitial Skin will be displayed.
